Boutique interior design firm in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an Interior Designer with at least 5 years of experience in high-end residential design. This position offers an incredible opportunity for an individual to grow with an established, friendly and well-respected design team. The firm is a recognized leader in the interiors industry specializing in unique contemporary design. This candidate will be working directly with the managing partner of the firm as well as with other Senior Designers, and is responsible for developing and executing the design from the conceptual and presentation stages through the completion of construction documents and final installation. We offer a highly competitive salary and accomplishment based incentive structure. RESPONSIBILITIES: Client meetings and preparation of contracts Concept board preparation On-site field documentation including measurements and photos Floor plan and finish scheme development Project management CAD drawings and construction documents Bid coordination Purchase orders and furniture procurement On-site construction administration and furniture installation coordination QUALIFICATIONS A degree in Interior Design from an accredited school 5 years of progressive experience in a Design firm Proficiency in construction drawings, codes, materials, furniture, finish selections and specifications Proficiency in Auto CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Photoshop High level of product knowledge Clear speaking voice and pleasant and professional presence Must be extremely professional, reliable, punctual, have reliable vehicle Must demonstrate strong capabilities in handling and overseeing a project from concept through installation Please include work samples when submitting your resume and cover letter.
