The Global Sourcing Merchant is responsible for driving the company's strategic global sourcing and supplier management processes, supporting the Private Brand department. Maintain a heightened level of product/category management on projects assigned by all senior stakeholders within the merchandising organization. Primary focus on driving and managing the company's initiatives, to support North America merchandising dept goals and objectives. Work in conjunction with merchants team, as part of annual strategic planning process, to ensure full understanding of consumer, business and financial goals. To identify, research and pre qualify quality, reliable vendor base for all relevant product categories. Interact between the merchants team and resources in order to manage projects, priorities, key actions, required samples, pricing, presentations, etc. Develop innovative solutions with Private Brand Team and suppliers to reduce cost and enhance product quality.

Qualifications:
? Bachelor's degree.
? Minimum of ten years experience in global product sourcing.
? Broad understanding and experience in global product sourcing.
? Understanding of cost reduction and development of strategic sourcing strategies.
? Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
? Strong analytical ability.
? Experience in managing key suppliers relationships.
? Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment.
? Ability to work autonomously and independently.
? Ability to manage multiple projects.
? Skilled negotiator.
? Ability to lead a multi cultural and multi cultural team in global locations.

Other Information:
Language: Asian, Spanish, beneficial but not essential

Travel: Extensive travel required, 3-4 int' l trips/yr. Position will require extensive throughout China, Taiwan, Thailand, with short-mid term potential for travel throughout India, Eastern Europe and South America.
