Manager, Global Sourcing


- Overview:
To identify (and assist in driving through implementation) global sourcing opportunities that can bring competitive total cost of ownership advantage. Work cross-functionally to successfully manage multiple projects from an international perspective. Liaise with Global sources of supply, Joint Venture partners and affiliates.

- Responsibilities:
Bachelor's Degree or at least 4 years experience with Supply Management
8 years purchasing experience developing and implementing supplier cost reduction strategies for manufacturing components in a global environment with a variety of commodities and/or components

- Qualifications:
Ability to travel 50-75%, including international travel, depending on specific job assignment and home base location
Ability to work non-traditional hours
Bi-Lingual

In addition to above-listed experience, 5 years professional (post college) experience including 5 years in Purchasing, Engineering or Operations is preferred
Strong negotiating skills

Ability to analyze product costs understanding cost drivers
Geometry, Dimensional & Tolerance (GD&T) proficiency reading drawings and specifications
Drive for results
Organizational/interpersonal savvy
Cultural awareness
Supply chain experience in multiple areas; chemical, metallic, electrical, etc.
Ability to develop budget, strategy and execution of global sourcing activity around the world (multi-regions)
MBA or C.P.M. a plus
