What's the role of a Vanguard Contract Administrator?
A company of our size and scope depends on successful vendor relationships, and we rely on our Contract Administrators to ensure that those relationships are managed in accordance with our internal policies and legal and compliance requirements. To source the most cost-effective solutions you'll research a variety of vendors and manage the contractual relationship from start to finish. You'll complete the RFP process, ensure proper legal and compliance reviews of all contracts, and monitor/audit contracts on file for compliance. As contracts expire/come up for renewal, you'll contact vendors and secure additional proposals as needed. Purchasing orders, requisitions and resolving invoice discrepancies will fall to you. You also will manage supplier and purchasing data within a number of enterprise/database systems.

How will I excel at Vanguard?
We'll expect thorough research on competitive bids and vendors and exceptional ongoing management of those relationships. You should have strong database management skills, superior organization, and strong knowledge of legal/compliance/control requirements related to contract management.

Do I meet the qualifications? The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience.
- Minimum of two years' of contract-related work experience.
- Previous procurement/purchasing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated PC skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Excellent communication skills, including proofreading and editing for accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills including the ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks within designated timeframes.
