Description:Commodities Manager - Scrap SteelFor more inforation please contact: Andy Gilbert CareersPro, Inc andy at careerspro.com Search our 6,000+ job database at careerspro.com Positions : 1 Job Description : - Overview: This position is accountable for developing the overall purchasing strategy of steel and in support of supplier scrap steel The individual will establish interfaces to provide support and include inputs from engineering, product development, manufacturing, suppliers, and parts distribution. This person will buy $100 million of steel per year directly and $1 billion of steel through the supply base. This position will be responsible for the direct buy and any negotiations related to steel for the indirect buy through the supply base. - Responsibilities: At least 5 years of raw material purchasing experience Bachelor's degree - Qualifications: Ability to travel approximately 20% At least 2 years of experience in creating, leading and driving teams At least 2 years experience in strategically finding new ways to streamline steel supply chain Desired Skills: Technical and/or business understanding of steel.
